Brief History :

The department was established since inception of the college 1956.

Objectives of the Department :
  • Impart effective Theory & Practical teaching to the veterinary graduates / post graduates.
  • To provide effective treatment and awareness to the farmers / animal owners.
  • To conduct need based research work to get benefits to the farmers animals owners and field vets.
Thrust Areas of Research :
  • Research on Pre parturient haemoglobinuria in cattle and buffaloes.
  • Improving the socioeconomic status of goat farmers by educating them under lab to land programme.
  • To educate the equine owners regarding gastro intestinal problems to control the mortality.
  • Improvement of teaching by using advance method of teaching aids and tools.
