NSS Details

The NSS program officer of our college is Dr. Yogita Pandey and Dr Kavita Rawat.
Government Veterinary College offered courses leading to degree of Veterinary Science (B.V.Sc.) and was affiliated to university of Sagar
College of Veterinary Sc. & A.H., Mhow has the National Service Scheme (NSS) is a Central Sector Scheme of Government of India, Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports. It provides opportunity to 100-150 student of BVSc &AH, of our college, every year, to take part in various government led community service activities & programs. The sole aim of the NSS is to provide hands on experience to young students in delivering community service. Since inception of the NSS in the college, the number of students over 200 students got valuable B & C certificates of NSS, their learning has volunteered to take part in various community service programmes.

Placement cell and its activities

College has well established placement cell.
Placement cell regularly conduct campus drives for final year/ internship students. This cell invited various companies for campus placements. Many companies from different states came for offering the job to the outgoing students i. e. TNM services pvt limited, GVK EMRI, Maahi milk producers’ company etc came for placement. In 2023-24, 55 students were selected through different companies. Apart from this lectures from various renowned speakers usually conducted to improve the knowledge of the students and also to shape their personality.

  • College has student’s grievance cell and that take care of student’s grievances and try to solve it as soon as possible.

Health facilities

  • A part time medical doctor (Dr. Balecha) is available for students and staff of the college.

Internal complaint committee

  • College has women harassment cell to take care of complaints of women harassments

Anti ragging committee : Anti ragging committee is formed to monitor that ragging will not be there in college premises and also in hostels.

Activities:

  • Posters of anti-ragging contains the message that not to take part in ragging activities are pasted on walls of each class for awareness among the students.
  • Address and phone numbers of students residing outside the college campus, given to the local police station for their protection.
  • Senior students are given responsibility as mentors in both boys and girls hostels for prevention of ragging.
  • Hostel wardens are also given responsibility for prevention of ragging in hostels. Likewise, the staff of the college also do the same in classes and college premises.
  • Rally, lectures and seminars are arranged to create awareness in students to prevent ragging.
  • Posters also pasted regarding punishments, if anyone caught or found indulge in ragging.
