1. To establish infrastructure of the department with fully equipped Milk Hygiene Lab, Meat Hygiene Lab, Environmental Hygiene Lab, Zoonosis lab and Epidemiology Lab.
2. To impart teaching, research and extension services related with veterinary public health.

Facility available:

The department has two laboratories with all the essential equipment and instruments. The facility is available for water testing, milk adulteration testing,  brucellosis testing, TVC, SPC MPN and other work. The central instrumentation facility of college is also available for conducting various researches.
