1. To provide thorough theoretical and practical knowledge of Veterinary Pharmacology and Toxicology to the students by quality teaching.
2. To conduct scientific research with special emphasis on recent thrust areas to develop pharmacological and toxicological tools useful and applicable in science as well as for society.
3. Lab to land transfer of research knowledge by way of various extension activities eg. by forming an information cell, by conducting regular camp, audio-visual training programs for farmers as well as for veterinarians.

Few very basic instruments (Like- autoclave, incubator, weighing balance, Sohxlet Extraction assembly, Rotatory Vaccume evaporator, Ph meter, Rota Road, Actophotometer, Edes Hot Plate etc.) available for research purpose.
